"MUMMY" CUPCAKES!

Sooooo.... I am by no means a "Bakerella", but one of the moms in Gracie's pre-school class made these super cute "mummy" cupcakes for their Halloween party and since I am always up for a challenge I had to try making them myself. They were very easy to make. All you need is vanilla cake mix (boxed of course... is there any other kind???), vanilla icing (I did add some confectioners sugar to thicken it up a little bit), lollipop sticks, large marshmallows for the head, white chocolate covered pretzels for the body and the arms, & black cake decorating gel for the mummy faces and VOILA... YUMMY "MUMMY CUPCAKES"!
DEE-LISH!!!

PRESENTATION IS EVERYTHING!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE wrapping gifts! A FABULOUS presentation can make even a "not so great" gift look like a million bucks! I like to use unique and creative containers and I also love to personalize the exterior! Bright colors and embellishments are preppy, fun, & definitely an eye catcher. The bow on the sand bucket of Miss Sarah Belle's present is actually a hairbow that she can use over and over again! I also thought the fun pink and orange gumballs that I added to the outside of Miss "R's" gift would make any little girl smile! Want me to wrap some gifts for you?

HALLOWEEN PARTY TREATS!

Gracie's Pre-School Halloween party was this week at school so I got busy making treats!  I made personalized treat bag toppers from "Gracie B." and also made Jack-o-Lantern sugar cookies (and by "made" I mean I bought the Pillsbury cookies at the grocery store and baked them at home in my very own oven!) I thought that it would be fun to fill in the faces with black cake decorating gel and sprinkle them with a little orange sugar! ENJOY!
